Following my passion about computer science and drawing, I obtained the 3D Artist certificate at the Italian Academy of Video Games in Rome.
I have acquired technical skills in the use of professional programs for 3D graphics.
By interacting constructively with my colleagues, I strengthened the skill in teamwork and compliance with delivery times.

It's not a Space Odyssey...

...but it's my birth year! Despite my age, I grew up appreciating the artistic and technological evolution of video games, it's important to know that The Elder Scrolls was possible thanks to Atari Adventure ;-)

2001/2014

Growing up...

I have always cultivated a passion for drawing, mainly in the fantasy theme. Dad injected me the curiosity for old pioneering videogames through emulators and old game consoles. Thanks to this view on the past, today I am able to appreciate even better the technology we have arrived at, maintaining my curiosity for the future.

Phase 02

2014/2019

Giordano Bruno Master's Institute

Diploma in Human Sciences with studies in the field of legal, economic and social sciences.

Phase 03

2015/2019

Trinity Collge Certificate

Certification for written and spoken English level B1.2 from Trinity College of London, organized by MLA (Move Language Ahead). During this time I got to visit cultural and historical places in England and America (New York), comparing myself with native language people.

2019/2022

AIV 3D Artist Certificate

Certificate of 3D Artist following the three-year specialist course at the Italian Academy of Video Games in Rome. During the three years I have acquired technical skills in the use of professional programs for 3D graphics, working in teams. By interacting constructively with my colleagues, I have strengthened my ability to work as a team and meet deadlines.

And here we are!
Why a landing page? As opposed to websites, which are designed for exploration, landing pages are customized to a specific campaign or offer and guide visitors towards a single call to action.
In the world of 3D artists practical skills are the main focus, so this page is essentially intended to offer a first look at my works.

2024

Game Jam!

I participated in the Scream Secrets game jam that took place between the 22 and 29 of August.
I joined the team Silverveil Studios to create our game Fall of Requiem, you can play it here.
I created the main enemy Eden, I tried my best to finish him in 5 days since I had to give the model to the programmers.
For time's sake, we used Mixamo for the rig and the animations.
It was a speedrun project and I had lots of fun!
Huge thanks to William Dickerson for creating the story and the design of the enemy, to Adrian A.A. for taking care of Eden's AI, and to Afonso Côrte-Real for the sound design.

Who is a 3D Artist?

A 3D Artist builds 3D models of products, environments, and more. They use their ability to create photo realistic materials, lighting, and rendered images for various uses including marketing and advertisements.

What tools are required?

3D rendering, 3D sculpting, modeling and photo bashing tools.

What does 3D Rendering mean?

Rendering is related to creating a two-dimensional image based on a set 3D scene. It involves a 3D model in the form of images or animation. As one of the most important components of a 3D project, rendering is more similar to photography because the image can be generated through the rendering process based on predefined data like texture color, lightning, and material. This way, we get a highly realistic image.
Architectural rendering software enables architects and interior designers to create the most realistic visualizations, and this is the best way to show off the project to the client(s). This is achieved by using the right lighting and shadows, composition, proportions, and atmosphere. The main goal of 3D rendering is to capture the same atmosphere as in real life based on light and reflection angles. The artist will achieve this by using various techniques like rasterization, ray tracing, casting, and equations.
The software I use in creating realistic renderings are mainly Maya and Blender.

What does 3D Sculpting/Modeling mean?

When you hear sculpting, you can't help but imagine how you shape and change clay or plasticine as you wish. 3D sculpting is a similar process where you can treat a 3D model in the same way with certain tools as you would in real-life. The advantage of 3D sculpting over modeling is that you can insert various details that you would not be able to in traditional 3D modeling. Depending on the model represented, the program can use geometry in the form of voxels and pixels or polygonal shapes.
I use ZBrush and Maya for this purpose.

What does Photo Bashing mean?

This is a painting technique that involves careful overlapping of photos and images till compositing them into one finished piece.
With this technique, artists are merging and blending multiple photos to get the perfect photo texture. It's a very useful tool when, for example, your 3D scene is in New York; it's faster and easier to adapt the scene by overlapping a few details from several photos, so you get a realistic ambiance.
This is not an easy technique, and artists must understand lighting, shadow movement, image composition, and propositions.
To get as realistic 3D images and scenes as possible, I use Photoshop.

What about the Communication tools?

The communication of a team working on a project must be fast, easy, and efficient. Live meetings are still unavoidable because they are the best way to approach project planning, but programs and applications facilitate online communication when the project has a deadline, and everyone knows their tasks; programs and applications facilitate online communication.
I mainly use Zoom.

A brief description of 3D Printing

3D printing is an additive process whereby layers of material are built up to create a 3D part. This is the opposite of subtractive manufacturing processes, where a final design is cut from a larger block of material. As a result, 3D printing creates less material wastage.
